Question : Is it ok to take levaquin for sinus infection with severe tinnitus? What about nose sprays amphoceterin, clindamycin and gentamicin? Is fluconzale helpful?

                                    Brief Answer:
different possible responses
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Fluconazole is an anti fungal agent and would only be used if your doctor suspects that there may be a fungal infection in the sinuses, this is not as common as bacterial infection.
In terms of tinnitus, it is not known to cause or worsen tinnitus
Amphotericin is also an antifungal not antibiotic and it would not be used for bacterial infections only fungal infections.
There is some associated between this medication and tinnitus
Gentamycin is definitely known to cause tinnitus so should not be used.
Clindamycin is not known to cause this problem
I hope this helps, feel free to ask anything else

                                    Brief Answer:
should be effective
Detailed Answer:
HI
Levaquin is a very broad spectrum antibiotic, this means that it is effective for a wide range of bacteria so it is normally used if more specific antibiotics have not worked.
It should be effective in sinusitis because it can treat a large number of bacteria.
