Question : i have Parkinson and at night i cannot empty my bladder? i started a new anti depressant Lexpro about two weeks ago which has helped my attitude but could it be interfering with my bladder problem?
Brief Answer:
Get Ultrasound Abdomen.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
See, In Parkinson's disease, the bladder problems that occur are usually bladder incontinence.
You are experiencing hesitancy and incomplete evacuation of bladder that is not a result of Parkinson's disease. So, I would advice you to get your Ultrasound Abdomen done to for any prostate related issues.
If none found then you might be having the bladder problem due to Lexpro. Also check in case you are taking any other anti cholinergic drug.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
