Question : If I have been taking minocycline for 7 weeks how long will my face stay clear if I stop taking this medication?
Also, does this medicine help to keep pores clear?

Depends on acne severity

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

Depends on the activity of your acne. If you have moderately severe to severe grade of acne your acne may relapse faster as compared to if you have mild to moderate grade of acne. Normally, once acne is under control it is advisable to continue some forn of topical therapy e.g adapalene with or without clindamycin, after oral antibiotics are stopped to help keep acne under control. Minocycline has no effect on pores.
