Question : Mom is 104. No BM in 3 days. Constant futile trips to commode, Can I give her a glycerin suppository? Also in stock at home: MiraLax (active ingredient: polyethelene glycol 3350).

Well MiraLax would be better option than Glycerine suppository. But we also need to find the cause of no bowel movement.

I advise her to increase the intake of Vegetables , fruits and water. Avoid meat and junk food . If inspite of this diet she finds difficulty to have bowels then she needs to undergo certain tests.

Meet a Physician in that case .
