Question: i live in XXXXXXX and have my first appt with pain management dr XXXXXXX Baker next wed. I had failed back surgery last july and been living with pain meds ever since. I take 120 10 mg Oxycodone a month prescribed by my primary in lieu of getting this PM appt. My primary does not feel comfortable prescribing narcotics hence her sending me to PM. Will this PM Doc give me narcotics such as I've had until I can find a Neurosurgeon for another surgery

Brief Answer:
Cannot say

Detailed Answer:
I can say that 40 mg a day is about average.
local pain mgt may require quite a lot including getting expensive injection procedures of patients in their programs.
most/all require documentation of a problem but previous surgery qualifies and documentation of not doing anything illegal.
they can also have wide leverage on fees they charge.
