Question : My wife is having Bipolar syndrome and we are trying to having a baby.She had a miscarriage last year.She taking medicine Oleanz 5mg in the morning and 7.5mg in the evening.Also she is under Oxetol 300 in morning and 600 in night.Does this medicine affect her chances to conceive. I am asking this because she two failures with two separate IVF cycles .In each cycle we had two frozen embryo transfer also. Does this medication cause implantation failure in IVF and does this medication cause endometrium problem

I understand your concerns.

You are right. These medicines are not good for embryo and fetal growth.

Especially oxetol should be avoided before embryo transfer till delivery of baby.

Please discuss with her psychiatrist if something can be done to replace these medicines.
