Does Intake Of Reglan Help In Curing Anxiety?

Question: I'm currently recovering from the stomach flu. I've been able to keep food and liquid down, but only a bit as my appetite is very poor. My nausea is also terrible and I'm almost hoping to throw up so I can get some relief. It's making me incredibly restless. What can I do? My doctor prescribed me Reglan, but I had to stop taking it because I got an anxiety attack. Please help.

I appreciate your concern

In my view reglan (metoclopramide) should be combined with a PPI such as lansoprazole. Combining the two will give you better results , in my experience.

Reglan does not cause nor is associated with anxiety. You can safely take it.

A natural alternative is green tea in some people. However it works for some and for others it's not very effective.

Alternatively, domeperidone or itopride can be advised if you don't want metoclopramide.
