Does Intake Of Tranexamic Acid Help In Decreasing The Blood Flow During Menstruation?

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jun 2016
Question: Hi, I am a member of this web site, where I was in contact with a doctor yesterday.
I was recently advised to take Cerazette due to heavier periods and because I suffer from PTSD symptoms, this makes my periods very stressful and difficult for me.

I am also supposed to take Tranxaemic Acid to reduce the flow and to help. Can I still do this with my POP, which I have taken for 12 days.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Yes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
To decrease the bleeding, you can take tranexaemic acid. You can take it with POP and you can stop taking tranexaemic acid after the bleeding stops completely.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
