Question : Hello,
I went to the doctor today and found out that I got some kind of infection so she prescribed me 2 tablets of Clarithromycin XL 500mg daily for 7 days. I took them about 4 hours ago with meals and right now I have an intolerable headache. Is this normal or should I go to ER? Can I take some tylenol or something?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Take Tylenol

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

Clarithromycin is unlikely to be the cause of your headache. I would insist you to take one or two doses of Tylenol and hope that it would suffice in reducing your headache. If it does not help you can definitely go to the ER.
