Question : Based on what I just read about Celexa, is it like the generic name for "prozac" ? My wife has chronic insomnia, and I was wondering if either valium or celexa could help her sleep at night. She seemed to hallucinate a little when she took luminesta.

No, she is not seen a psychiatrist because she does not feel very depressed, just frustrated at times. Do you feel Ambien would be better to help her sleep or Celexa?
Brief Answer:
She should definitely consult psychiatrist.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I think, she should definitely consult psychiatrist because hallucinations are not normal thing. Whenever they are present, they show worsening of underlying illness.
So better to consult psychiatrist for her.
And if she is getting sleep with ambien then this is best drug for her, better than Celexa.
Since how long she is having this sleep problems?
