Question : I just started taking aloe vera 500 mg per day and notice I go to the bathroom more and sometimes during my bowel movements its not diarrhea but like mud. Should I stop? I have had stomach issues since I was 39. I Take VSL #3 since I was told y a stomach doctor here were traces of IBS and very little traces of Colitis.
Brief Answer:
Because it serves as a laxative as well.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is no point in stopping altogether. I will rather suggest you reduce the dosage. This is because Aloe vera also serves as a laxative and that’s what explains the reasons for the stools being soft/muddy and the frequency increased.
In all, reduce the dosage and do not stop it entirely.
I wish you well and keep me posted.
