Does Intake Of Antibiotics Help In Curing UTI With Citro Koseri?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Mar 2016
Question: I have a uti with citro koseri do I need to take antiobiotics or will natural herbs like oregano work. How dangerous is this bug and how could I get it as it suddenly came on. Cipro was the only drug on doctors test that it wasn't resistant to. I have severe gut issues and any antiobiotics cause me problems. Can the infection go on its own

I thought I would get an instant reply not have to wait for a reply

Brief Answer:
UTI with Citro koseri needs antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you have an UTI with Citro koseri. This is a moderate bacteria and will get worse if you are not treated. oral supplements rarely work with UTIs and since you have a bacteria that exhibits multi resistance the I would strongly urge that you get treated despite your GI problems. Without proper treatment you could develop pyelonephritis which can be serious

where would I get this bacteria from as I haven't had sex. I'm worried about side effects of Cipro. I have fibromyalgia and choronic fatigue syndrome, I don't take antiiobiotics and hardly ever get a uti. 5 yrs ago I had a uti and d mannose got rid of it. I'm a lot better I have pelvic pain only now and no urgency and the dip sticks are showing clear or lecucoytes and all other things on dipstick. are the dipsticks right does that mean infection gone. and once treated if I take Cipro can it keep coming back.

Brief Answer:
UTI

Detailed Answer:
The UTI in female is not always caused from sex. It can be caused by frequent urination and wiping from back to front. Sometimes they just happen. It maybe due to bacteria actually having the ability to move and they can get up inside the bladder.

If your urine dipstick is not showing leukocytes or nitrites then you are less like to have a UTI.

If you are having symptoms of frequency and burning on urination then I would proceed with treatment. If you are not and the dip stick is clean then I wold not treat. You may be able to just drink plenty of fluids that will help clear your urinary tract of bacteria.

Taking the antibiotic cipro should eliminate it altogether. But again if you are not having symptoms I would caution against treatment. Only if you have symptoms.

I hope I answered your question.

hi on Thursday the symptoms were back pain groin and leg pain and frequent urination and headache and feeling exhausted. went to drs and dipstick showed leukocytes and blood. Treated it since with P73 oregano complex and garlic and lots probiotics and waterfall d mannose a uti treatment mainly works on e coli. I'm left now with pelvic pain like period pain in the front near bladder and just tiredness no bladder symptoms and dipstick test is clear no nitrates, ph is 7, no blood or leucocytes. My diet is very alkaline and no sugar wheat or dairy. I follow paleo diet. I only drink water and one green tea day and water with lemon. the pain is dragging me down but the other symptoms have gone.

I didn't have burning just frequency and sort of strange feeling in vagina like tingling and backache.

Brief Answer:
pelvic pain

Detailed Answer:
Since you are still having pelvic pain I would recommend starting the antibiotic. It maybe that your urine has cleared but the actual infection maybe within the wall of the bladder giving the pelvic pain.

Your body should be able to tolerate the cipro as it is used for numerous GI infections also.

I hope that answers your question
