Brief Answer:
She needs further evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think she should get further evaluated doing some lungs and heart examinations in order to find how serious is this and what treatment can be used. She needs to do a x-ray of lungs, spirometry and EKG.
She can examine her lungs first to see which disease is causing it ex: asthma, chronic bronchitis,COPD , emphysema etc .
Hyperinflation of lungs can cause sinus arrhythmia and in the most severe cases even heart failure.
Bronchodilators can be used to help reduce hyperinflation and may be very helpful.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
