Question : My sister was just diagnosed with AML. She is 56 and healthy. She was asymptomatic and found out when a wound became infected and wouldn’t heal. Today she starts chemo therapy and we are waiting for the subtype tests.
If the subtype is aggressive does that mean there is no hope for remission? Trying to prepare myself for the worst.

Brief Answer:
Aml good response to chemotherapy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
AML has a very good response rate with chemotherapy whatever the sub type
So don't loose hope but complete remission rate percentage with chemotherapy varies according to sub type
