Brief Answer: Yes it can cause Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern. Lisinopril is a hypertension medication and can affect your sexual drive due to one or more of the following reasons: 1.Achieving an erection requires increased and maintained blood flow to vasculature of the penis. If the medication is lowering your blood pressure, then it could possibly affect your ability to achieve and maintain an erection. 2.It also may decrease libido by blocking the release of acetylcholine and nitric oxide. 3.The Artherosclerosis as a result of systemic hypertension. These are theories related to anti hypertensive drugs including lisinopril. However, in studies it has been found that only 1% of the population taking these medications suffer from this. This is my best advice for you with the available details, if you have any further query, please ask us. Stay Healthy
