                                            Question : I have pain in the back of my neck, after getting out of bed.  This started several weeks ago and continues      
to get worse. For awhile it would dissipate during the course of the day. It is beginning to ache steadily.
Would professional massage help? Or is there an over the counter product I can apply?

Hello,
I have studied your case. I think you are having cervical spondylitis.In this condition there is pain in neck and more in morning. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Avoid using very high pillow or very cool temperature in room.
2.Hot water fomentation
3.Take Advil or Paracetamol 500 for pain relief.
4.Physiotherapy is helpful. Intermittent cervical traction exercises can be started.
5.Local pain killer spray or gel application can be done.
