Does Ovarian Cyst Cause Nausea,fatigue And Light Periods?

Question: During my previous pregnancy 15 years ago it tookabout 8-10 weeks before a pregnancy test came out positive. Currently I suspect I am 9 weeks pregnanct due to my symptoms: Nausea,Fatigue, I started to have a pooch in my lower abdomen, breasts are sore and leaking on occassion. I have taken several pregnancy tests with a negative result. My last period in December was very light and only lasted 2 days. When I went to the doctor they said I had a cyst righ by the left ovary (at that time I would suspect to be 7 weeks along). Is it possible for a cyst to cause these symptoms? Also currenlty my period is 2 days late and today I started with very light spotting. Is this normal? Is it possible I was misdiagnosed? I dont want to take anything that can harm the baby if I really am pregnant.

The symptoms that you have can be due to pregnancy and can also be caused by the hormonal disturbance caused by ovarian cyst.
Your period is only 2 days late. The light spotting can be due to an impending period or an implantation bleeding. You can wait for a few days for the bleeding to increase. In case there is no more bleeding then you can get your serum HCG levels evaluated to know about the pregnancy. It is more confirmatory than a urine test. In case the test is negative then you may need a hormonal treatment to regularize your periods.
