Answered by Dr. Dr. Soumen Patra (36 minutes later)
Brief Answer: YES, PRECUM CAN CAUSE PREGNANCY. BUT LOW CHANCE. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Yes, pre-cum or pre-ejaculatory fluid can cause pregnancy as it contains very small amount sperm. However, chance of pregnancy is extremely low and it totally depends on partner's fertile period (i.e. 11th to 19th day of 28 to 30 days regular cycle). It is better to undergo one home pregnancy test soon after missed period and repeat the test after 7 days to clear doubts. Hope, it helps for your information. Let me know, if you need any clarification. Wish your good health and practice safe sex always. Regards, Dr Soumen For future query, you can directly approach me through WWW.WWWW.WW

Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for follow up query. 1) You have to wait for her upcoming period. Early pregnancy test is totally invalid. She must undergo one home pregnancy test soon after missed period and repeat the test after 7 days to clear doubts (if period doesn't start). 2) There is no chance of pregnancy through air contacted sperm. Pregnancy is possible when ejaculation takes place inside vagina during her fertile period. 3) Sperm outside the vagina dies very quickly soon after drying of semen. So, rubbing or clearing with clothes from finger can definitely kill the sperm. Hope, I have clarified all things. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. All the best and good luck. Regards, Dr Soumen

Brief Answer: I-PILL SHOULDN'T BE USED AS REGULAR CONTRACEPTION. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for additional query. 1) I-pill should be taken for EMERGENCY purpose (within 72 hrs of sex) whether your partner doesn't use any kind of contraceptive method and unprotected sex takes place suddenly or after a long gap. 2) I-pill shouldn't be used as regular contraception as it will cause irregular cycle or abnormal vaginal bleeding, late period and other side effects due to hormonal imbalance. It can hamper regular ovulation and fertility problem on long term used. However, one to two times taking of I-pill is not so harmful. 3) If you want to involve in regular sex, then she must take COMBINED OCP like FEMILON etc. It gives more than 99.9% protection against unwanted pregnancy after 1-month used on scheduled time (perfectly) and regular basis. She will also get regular period. 4) You can practice safe sex without using any kind of contraceptive method if her period is regular (28 to 30 days duration). First 5 days after period over and last 7 days prior to commencement of period are extremely safe. There is rare chance of pregnancy if it is practiced perfectly. 5) If she gets regular and normal period on time, then there is rare chance of pregnancy. It is almost excluded. Hope, I have guided you properly. If you have any query, you can revert back me anytime. Regards, Dr Soumen

Brief Answer: YOU DID SAFE SEX. RARE CHANCE OF PREGNANCY. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. 1) First 5 days after period over are very much safe if her period is quite regular with 28 to 30 days duration. 2) In this case, her chance of pregnancy is quite rare as you did protected sex with condom on safe period (3 days after cycle over). 3) If you had properly disposed your first condom, then there is no chance of transmission of semen on 2nd condom. Don't be worried much. Hope, it helps for your understanding. Practice safe sex in future. Regards, Dr Soumen

Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for follow up query and giving detailed information. 1) Sperm lives 3 to 5 days (max) inside vagina after ejaculation and it dies within 1/2 hr outside the vagina. Ovum can live 24-36 hrs (max) after ovulation. 2) Pregnancy depends on proper timing of ovulation (14 days prior to due date) and ejaculation inside vagina. In this case, you did protected sex with CONDOM on safe period and her chance of pregnancy is quite RARE. 3) According to her last period date, she will ovulate around 20th to 22nd DEC and it is far away from your protected sex (on 14th DEC). Therefore, she can't be pregnant from this sexual activity. 4) Sperm doesn't transmit through air and there is NO chance of pregnancy through air contacted sperm. So, you wouldn't be worried much and wait for her next coming period. Hope, I have answered your queries. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Good luck and all the best. Brief Answer: SEX ON SAFE PERIOD DOESN'T LET HER PREGNANT. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for additional query. I have already mentioned that you did sex in SAFE period and there is rare chance of pregnancy. It doesn't matter whether your semen or sperm touched condom or not during sex as it dies before fertilization with ovum according to her ovulation time. In this case, she must wait for next coming period and undergo one home pregnancy test soon after missed period to clear doubts. Practice safe sex in future also. Regards, Dr Soumen
