Also getting a weird feeling around my tailbone and my bum cheeks feel a bit swollen and uncomfortable to sit. Everything feels wrong. I also have sacroiliitis, could that have anything to do with it?

Brief Answer:
Sacroilitis can be the reason of tailbone and bum cheeks discomfort.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Tightness and pain in the anus can indicate that the fissure has not been healed completely yet. It could become a chronic fissure. Such fissure gives less intense pain that the acute one.
Swelling of bum cheeks and tailbone weir feeling can be associated with sacroilitis more that with a fissure. However if the swollen area is tender, warm and reddish, some abscess can be the case.
Sacroilitis pain shout get less intense after painkillers like Diclophenac or Naproxen. Abscess pain does not act like that.

Proctologist consult is the best you can do right now. If its a fissure, its should be treated property. Nitroglycerin cream and Calcium channels blockers medicines may be helpful to relax rectal muscle and make it healed.

In a meanwhile you should increase fiber intake, do not push hard on stool, wash the anus after every stool and have sitz baths with Oak Bark.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Thank you,
I have been using coconut oil as I find this offers the most relief, have used different creams but don't seem to do a lot. I shall try and relax as much as possible as I think my anxiety over this issue isn't helping and causing me to tense up.
I don't think it's an abcess as there is no redness. I shall put it down to sacroiliitis and being tensed up worrying about my bottom.
I do suffer from anxiety so maybe that has a lot to do with both problems.
I have also been having stomach ache, maybe that is due to stress aswell?
I shall hold tight and wait for the appontment, fingers crossed I will get better before then.

Brief Answer:
Anxiety has an impact to your digestive tract fro sure.

Detailed Answer:
Anxiety for sure has an impact to your digestive tract. Holding too tight anus when passing the stool can be the reason of fissure. Constipation or lack of regularity in stools can be also the case. This can be also caused by your anxiety.
Stomach ache of course can be caused by stress. Anxiety can cause increased stomach acid secretion and lead even to peptic ulcer. Such pain is in the upper middle abdomen and appears after a meal. If you have such problem, gastrologist should be visited as well.

Regards.
