Does Saliva Is Transferred HIV?

Posted on Thu, 13 Jun 2024
Question: hi. doctor.

due to absence of my wife. she went to her home town.

10 days ago i have done a mistake. i went to a sex worker but no sex at all. used condom for blowjob. i touched her vagina with my finger. her liquid touched my fingers. this matters for three minutes. my fingers are fine. no cuts or sores

and finally we ended with masturbation with lip kiss. it last for a minute dont know wether saliva is transferred or not via lip kiss.

in this case any chances of hiv and other issues are there? i am having cold for last 5 days. hope these are not related this exposure.

Brief Answer:
The chances of HIV in your exposure are very unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Dear ,
Blowjob, kissing or fingering are no risk activities for HIV as such and you had blowjob with condom and there are no cuts or sores on the fingers also so you need not to worry at all because the risk of getting HIV or any other STD is very unlikely or you can say nil.

You have common cold since 5 days which might be due to seasonal change or common viral illness but not related to HIV in any way so just calm down, allay the fear or anxiety and move on in life. if you have any further doubt, feel free to ask me again any time.

Thank You

thank you very much. shall i forget this episode or i need any actions. my doubt is only on kissing and fingering. not other than that. if any small cut in fingering makes any changes? actually i had lip kiss for 10 to 20 seconds. please clear this doubt

Brief Answer:
Kissing and fingering are no risk activities.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Aasif,

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

Kissing and fingering are no risk activities as such and the status of your partner is also unknown that further decreases the risk but still if you want to be sure enough, you can opt for testing with 4th generation HIV Duos test after atleast 2 weeks of exposure. Be relaxed, don't think too much and get back to your routine life.

Thank You
