Question: xarelto pill comes in 15 mgm and 20 mgm strengths. If I remove a small corner of a 20 mgm does this render the pill useless or just lessen its potency?

Detailed Answer:
Hi i read your query very carefully.

Splitting xarelto doesn't render it useless, because crushing and diluting with water is the way of administration in patients which can't swallow the pill.

You can take 15 mg of xarelto by spliting one quarter of xarelto 20 mg (if this is the dose that your doctor recommend you). However i recommend consulting your doctor if he agree with this.

Hope this was of help!
