Question : Hi, this is embarrassing, but I thought I had a yeast infection. I squirted some of my husband's Tinactin spray in my vagina. It really burned! Now, my period is two weeks late. Did I cause damage to my vagina? I took a pregnancy test and it is negative.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Spraying some antifungal would not cause a delay in your periods.
If the pregnancy test is negative, there would be other reasons possible for it .
These reasons could be - stress, anxiety, weight gain, ingestion of hormonal medications, late nights, erratic eating habits etc.
If you do not have your period within a week more, you should consult a gynaecologist.
Please go for a pelvic transvaginal ultrasound scan and hormonal levels - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, DHEAS, free testosterone.
THis would rule out conditions like hypothyroidism, PCOD ( polycystic ovarian disease ) , perimenopause etc.
All the best
