I had an unprotected sex vth my hus nd had ipill the next day morning. I had bleeding vthin 4-5 days. Now its two weeks after that. My question is will my regular periods date change that means shud i count the days for next periods from the day i had bleeding after having pill or shud i expect it in my normal date??
NORMAL PERIOD DATE WILL CHANGE.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) I-pill gives more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy when it is taken within first 24 hrs of unprotected sex. Here, chance of pregnancy is LOW.
2) You got withdrawal bleeding within 4-5 days due to effect of the pill. It is quite common and physiological phenomena.
3) However, your regular period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks from DUE DATE due to hormonal imbalance and associated stress. You will get IRREGULAR period for next 1-2 cycles.
4) You should count FIRST day of period from the day of withdrawal bleeding. You can expect your period around that time in next month.
5) If you don't get your period in the next month, yo must undergo one home pregnancy test to clear doubt about pregnancy.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and practice safe sex in future.
