Question : Can taking pain medication such as tramadol 100 mg. for a broken bone in the foot cause dehydration? My daughter is in a cast and uses crutches when walking at this time. When up she feels somewhat dizzy and out of breath. This jut started today
She has been using tramadol fr 3 weeks. She has stopped taking tramadol today. She also has iron deficiency anemia and usually takes iron pills.

She might be weak and having dizziness because of the physical stress. Please do not stop the drug suddenly. You can always consult a doctor and taper the dose, so that she does not feel any withdrawal symptoms.

Make her drink lots of fluids and a healthy diet.
