Question : Does using topical minoxidil cause a problem with blood pressure? what would be the XXXXXXX amount that is safe to use in topical solution?
Brief Answer:
Yes it can in some patients
Detailed Answer:
Hello
After going through the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern and I would like to tell you that as minoxidil is basically a vasodilator whitch acts by increasing the blood flow to the affected area that's why it can cause hypotension in some patients if if applied inappropriately. However the frequency of this side effect is less and has not been clearly defined.
The recommended dose is 1ml of 2% or 5% solution only on the affected area twice daily at 12 hrs interval.
Hope to have been helpful.
Kind Regards
