Brief Answer:
Most probably not related to the Vicks vaporub.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,
I have gone through your query; it suggests that most probably not related to the Vicks vaporub.

For your kind information it contains four active ingredients, levomenthol, eucalyptus oil, turpentine oil and camphor. The possible side effect that reported in some individual such as
1. Redness or irritation of the skin in the area where the rub is applied.
2. Irritation of the eyes from inhaling the vapour

Therefore I don't think your current complaints are due to this vapor rub.

Thanks
