Does Weight Loss Help Symptoms Of Arthritis And Joint Pain?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Jan 2017
Question: My question was about my arthritic knee. My MRI showed bone to bone and I am presently doing glucose ink to regenerate the tissue. I have a new symptom which I am concerned about and which is painful. With every step my knee now pops. Is this something I need to go to the doctor about or just a cont of a bad knee. They want me to lose 75 pounds before they will do surgery. I weigh 325 and am 5 ft 5. I cannot walk any distance and have to ride a scooter if out of my house.

Brief Answer:
Yes, visit doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

You must visit doctor and don't ignore all this.

Emergence of new symptoms which explain means your knee is not accepting this new treatment.

So you should stop all this and talk directly to orthopedic surgeon nearby you.

One thing more, after loosing weight your knee joints become somewhat ok but I think you need knee replacement surgery.

Knee replacement is successful in people with less weight.

You also need physiotherapy in addition.

Hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

Hope everything becomes ok.

Thanks.
