Question: Dr —

1. I want to ask you a question about a situation that seems to happen quite regularly to me
2. I develop blood blisters inside my mouth, on the inside of my cheek, in different places
3. This usually happens after I’ve eaten certain kinds of foods
4. However, sometimes it happens even if I have not eaten anything recently
6. Approximately 24 to 48 hours later the blister seems to disappear
5. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts about why this occurs to me so frequently? I usually get these posters approximately once a week

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Might be due to vitamin b complex deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of vitamin b complex deficiency is more likely.
It will be of great help if you can send me picture of your blisters.
Another possibility is constipation. Do you have constipation?
Any teeth problem?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions so that I can guide you better about medicines and investigations.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

1. I have uploaded a photo that exemplifies the problem. This photo is not a picture of my mouth. I found it on the Internet. But it is a similar blister to the one that I experience on a regular basis.
2. Sometimes my blisters are that size and shape, sometimes they can be slightly bigger.
3. Also Dr., recently I started taking a multivitamin. It seems to have some B vitamins.
4. Also, although I do experience bloating on a regular basis, I go to the bathroom on a daily basis.

Thank you.

1. I have attached another photograph of the left side of the inside of my cheek.

2. I was eating some chips, and I noticed the sensation, and I checked, and I realized that I had developed another blood blister

Brief Answer:
Get done few blood reports.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
I have gone through the images you have attached.
In my opinion, you should definitely get done few reports like CBC, vitamin D3 and b 12, Liver function test, PT and APTT.
If all these reports are normal then mostly because of teeth rubbing to your cheeks can cause such blisters.
Also avoid hard to chew food like chips.
Do let me know if you have already done these reports.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
