Question : Dr. Ilir Sharka, I’m the one with the messed up Manubrium if you remember. I actually got back my mri results today. So along with everything being more loose than it should be just on my right side I also have a partial thickness rotater cuff tear and a SLAP tear with some general joint deterioration. I guess I have Elhers Danilo’s syndrome too. I don’t remember what time though. It has a really strange name.

                                    Brief Answer:
I would recommend genetic testing.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Welcome back on Ask a Doctor service!
I understand your concern and would explain that this diagnosis should be based also on genetic testing and not only on physical characteristics of the patient.
For this reason, I would recommend discussing with your attending physician on the possibility of performing genetic testing.
Did you check vitamin D plasma levels?
I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!
Let me know about everything!
Wishing all the best,
Dr.Iliri

I have received genetic testing and a bunch of other things. That’s how we found about it. It took a while. But I got it. I go back on the first to discuss treatment options and what not. But first I have to get my tears fixed.

Thank you. It doesn’t affect my skin too bad. Mostly just my ligaments tendons and joints. But other things too. This explains my (lengthy) wide variety of dislocations and subluxations through my life.
