                                            FATTY LIVER- PROGNOSIS
Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
Fatty liver is a condition where excess of fat gets deposited into liver.
Usually, liver has some amount of fat but roughly, when fat makes more than 5% of it (by weight),condition is labelled as fatty liver disease.
An uncomplicated fatty liver usually does not cause liver damage, dysfunction, scarring or failure.
It only cause local bulking and inflammation.
Alcoholic fatty liver might progress to cirrhosis and liver failure , if patient does not stop drinking.
For improving your liver health, you should do some life style modifications and dietary changes....
Quit alcohol.
Mantain ideal body weight.
Shed extra kilos.
Avoid oily and greasy diet.
Have a rich fibre diet with plenty of raw vegetables and fruits.
Be physically active.
Have green tea.
Have black coffee.
Be physically active.
Have omega 3 and Vitamin E supplements.
Have probiotics.
If someone stops alcohol (if applies), avoids obesity and takes plant based diet ,fatty liver changes are quite reversible and majorities are able to live a normal life for many years.
Hope that I have answered your query.
If you have any doubts, please let me know.
Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.
