Question : Dr Sharka I will be uploading my echo results soon but I do have a question I am wondering how accurate the phone heart rate apps are I am thinking of getting a watch with HeartRate but wonder if it is a good idea for someone like me

The phone applications, as well as smart watches are not an accurate tool to examine your heart rhythm trends, as they may often may confuse the person, especially by movement or contact artifacts.

So, I would not recommend it in your case, as it can increase your anxiety and I don't think that it will really help for anything.

I would be glad to review your echo report as soon as you will be able to upload it. I am sure that it will be OK.
