Brief Answer:
Your seems uncontrolled asthma on LABA and ICS

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Sorry for delay in response. I was bus with my other professional obligations.

You seem to be uncontrolled with LABA and ICS.

In such a case, we need to consider one of the following medicines:
- Montelukast
- Tiotropium bromide
- Glycopyronium bromide
- theophylline

You can discuss with your doctor about these options. Also consider seeking advice with a pulmonologist who has expertise in asthma.

How effective is Omalizumab for your asthma attacks?

Brief Answer:
Some factors need to be considered

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Basically we assess the efficacy of Omalizumab by checking the levels of IgE regularly.
Omalizumab is given every 2 to 4 weeks. The duration of treatment would really depend on the response. If the response is good as seen on IgE levels improving and side effects are not seen, then it can be continued for longer time. Many people see the reduction in requirement of ICS. Since this medicine is given only in severe condition, when your condition improves, it can be discontinued. Mostly its about 24 weeks.

Whether Omalizumab is approved in mediclaim, this needs to be checked with the insurance company.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
