2. Basically my left leg was very itchy, and I continually scratched it for many many months.
3. I went to see a dermatologist who told me that it was not a very serious condition but do not scratch it any further & he may have soups prescribe some basic medicine.
4. This picture represents the current state of affairs.
5. Do you think that I should visit with the dermatologist again?
6. What are your thoughts about this condition?

Brief Answer:
Post inflammatory depigmentation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query.
According to your complaints it seems to be post inflammatory depigmentation due to constant scratching the area.
It is not a very serious condition but it is a chronic condition.
The repigmentation of the affected area is a very slow process requiring many months.
I would definitely recommend you to consult your dermatologist again and be under regular follow up.

Dr Asmeet
