Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for reaching out at Ask A Doctor
I have read your query and understood your concern
I see that you mention only pain and no discharge or fever .This could probably be due to recent cold infection or a ear blockage due to wax .I would recommend otogesic ear drops twice a day for 3 days to relieve the pain along with it you can take a paracetamol tablet to relieve the pain .Incase symptoms persist or any history of ear discharge kindly get an ENT opinion.
