Hello

Thanks for the query
There are two school of thoughts when it comes to pulse. One says 60 to 90 is normal and the other says 70 to 90 is normal.

But what is important are the symptoms. If you have a pulse of 96 and without any symptoms then it is normal. But please watch out for the following

1. Palpitations
2. Easy fatigue ability
3. Chest pain
4. Shortness of breath
5. Fainting sensation

Some of the causes of increase pulse rate are
1. Anemia
2. Dehydration
3. Thyroid disorders
4. Anxiety
5. Stress
6 smoking. Coffee, tea, recreational drugs
7. Exercise

However the last two causes makes the pulse go back to normal after a while

Please XXXXXXX a physician for a routine check up. He will run a basic test which might include the following to know your hb levels, ECG, thyroid function test, etc

I hope I have answered your query, please accept my answer if you have no further queries

Wish you good health

Regards
