Hi

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

So weight wise you fall in the obese category. Triglycerides are in the high range.
Do you have any other associated complaints other than those mentioned?

Problems associated with obesity are many. Excess weight puts you on risk for heart diseases, diabetes, arthritis, stroke, psychological problems like poor self esteem, depression etc. etc.

High snoring, tiredness that you are complaining of are also associated with obesity.

First get a complete check up done by a physician and get investigated to rule out some of the causes of obesity like hypothyroidism. Please check if you are on any drugs like antipsychotics, which may increase weight. Most of the cases it’s related to diet and lack of exercise.

So you should immediately try and reduce body weight.
It is more easy said than done.

Dietary measures.
***Stop all junk foods. Chips, colas etc
***Stop adding additional oil and ghee to diet. (This not only reduces the total calorie consumption.........it also reduces the amount a person consumes)
***Take healthy food XXXXXXX in fruits and vegetables.
***Reduce the amount of sugar, sweets etc you consume.

Life style changes.
***Walk rather than taking a bike whenever possible.
***Take the steps rather than using lift.
***Reduce stress. (Yoga, breathing exercises, listening to soothing music, playing with kids etc)
***Stop alcohol and smoking .....if you do.

Regular exercise.
***Take time to exercise regularly.
***Start with 10 to 20 min a day and increase to half hour a day and be regular.
***Exercise regularly for at least 5 days a week.
***Go to a gym. Do weight training exercise.

The above things are easily said than done. Please take a decision of reducing weight and stick to it. Avoid crash diets.

With determination and motivation, nothing in this world is difficult to achieve.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
