Question: HI Doctor,
from one month on wards i had been having frequent discomfort in sense some kind of fullness in stomach , when i took gelusil it is ok for 7 days after it again started not if i use eno i would get lot of gas or air out of my stomach, my dietary habits are a bit worse from 2 to 3months , i mean in eating food at correct times due to baby at home.

i went to doctor and he diagnosed bloating and dyspeia and straight way recommended one ultrasound and endoscopy which cost 5k , i am not at all convinced and got out, it is mild my symptoms not that life threatening .finally i asked him some medicine in the mean while before tests, he told to use simcon (activated charcaol +...) tablets after meals 2 tablets morning and evening for a couple of days.
does it necessary to take tests ,if not can you suggest any course that i use simcon now from yesterday nigh tonwards,

i am planning to change dietary habits can you suggest me what not to do and what to eat?

Brief Answer:
It sounds perfectly harmless

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your symptoms do not sound serious, and a course of simcon with two tablets morning and evening seems OK to try. Alternatively, you could try a proton pump inhibitor or magnesium oxide for a few weeks. If there is no relief, you should reconsider ultrasound and endoscopy.

I also recommend that you make a diet diary, to ascertain if there are certain food items that trigger your symptoms, e.g. wheat. If so, stay away from those food items.
Thanks.
