Hi.
Sticky skin syndrome is also a result of excessive moistness of skin from sweat. There can be several underlying causes of sticky skin syndrome. One of which could be hypoglycemia from aggressive blood sugar control in diabetics. Do you feel that you sweat a lot in body folds?

Regarding sticky folds
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I don't think that this is a fungus issue. Fungal infections of skin are itchy and present as scaly, itchy patches. Moreover, sweating doesn't have to be profuse to manifest as stickiness. I still think that you should continue with an absorbent dusting powder in body folds and perhaps try an antiperspirant like 10% aluminium hexa chloride.
Take care.
