For How Long Does Chickenpox Remain Infectious?

Question: Hi , My wife had chicken pox recently. She had blisters appearing on July 5th and they had scabbed by July 13th. We had intercourse first afterwards on July 20th. My wife is 6 weeks pregnant now. Is there any chance that the embryo would have been affected by the virus. How long would the virus been active in the body? Do we have anything to be worried about?

hello and welcome ro health care magic forum, thanks for writin in with your health concern. since your wife had infection before concieving then probably there is no danger to baby . dis she has chickenpox infection before in her life? if yes then there is no problem at all. once infected varicella virus remains dormant in body for life, please do wrote in with any other query . i will be happy to help
