Question: my husband usually gets dizzy or light headed after sex and now he has been getting a sharp migrain type pain and it's getting worse why does this happen

It would be best if he actually gets to see a doctor for this. He is 49 and he could have developed any diseases condition such as hypertension, diabetes, migraine, brain tumor etc. After sex, much energy is usually used up and it might be that he is having hypoglycemia or even increase blood pressure.
But, it would be hard to tell if he is not fully examined by a doctor as soon as possible.
If he is suffering from vertigo, then appropriate treatment can be given or if it is an underlying diseases condition, then that should be treated.
