Question : my child head hurts when she stands She has to keep her head down when she stands so it wont hurt as much. It pains like a migraine

Is there any history of vomitings in the early mornings? Is the headache one sided or confined to a particular area?
What is the duration of her headache?
Is she getting head hurts every time she stands?
Is there any relation to school activities?

I just talked to my mom and yes migraines run in the family

No vomiting at all

The headache pain is at the top of her head

It hurts every 3 to 5 mins

Yes she gets head hurts every time she stands

No relations to school activities

Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Your chid has to be examined physically for her blood pressure, neurogical assessment including her vision assessment and fundoscopy to rule out any headache related to high blood pressure and to rule out any intracranial cause for her headache.
She may need neuroimaging like CT scan brain after her examination.
So consult your Pediatrician for physical examination and for referral for neurologist opinion if required.
