Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXXXX XXXX Thanks for writing to XXXXXXX Treatment of anal fissure by CO2 laser is a newer modality but it is not widely accepted due to cost factor. This process involves coagulation and evaporation of tissues in floor and edges of ulcer and this method can also be used for incision in internal sphincter so that spasm and stenosis relieves.There is some degree of stenosis in chronic ulcers.This method results in formation of thick film over the wound and unhealthy tissues disappears.
