Good Evening , My 5 Year Old Has Been Running

Question: Good evening , my 5 year old has been running low grade into high grade fevers for the past 24 hours . We took her to her pediatrician yesterday they tested her for strep bec her therapy was really red but she tested negative . Today I noticed little bites on her hands and her face ( actually I thought she got but by a mosquito or something ) . Within a couple of hours they multiplied turned red and now she has them all over her body . Is very late to take her back to the doc and made an apptmt for tomorrow afternoon but as me and my husband our now paranoid on what this break out might be .. I can send images can someone please let me know on what it might be ?
Brief Answer:
Seems to be Roseola
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This rash has a lighter coloured halo around the redness and it seems to be of Roseola. Its a viral. Other virals like Hand-foot-mouth disease can also mimic this condition.
Fever usually disappears when the Roseola rash starts.
Rash also disappears in 2-3 days. It is mostly a mild condition and resolves by itself.
There is no need to panic. You can go to your doctor tomorrow for confirmation of diagnosis.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
