Question: Good morning (my time):
I came across a product that is said to slow atherosclerosis progression as written up in the Lancet Magazine. It is called Pycnogenol. A human controlled trial showed that this substance was able to improve endothelial function in patients with CAD, an effect that helps limit the progression of atherosclerosis. Have you heard of it please?

Brief Answer:
Please refer to the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
Hello

It’s basically a herbal extract from pine which has come clinical studies or trials been conducted for ADHD attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

For CAD there has not been any conclusive studies or data being published. Neither have we ever used nor much heard about it being practiced in cardiology.

It’s advisable not to use any such product without medical advice or supervision.

I hope this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
