Question : I'm drunk I threw up but now my heart rate is high and irregular is that normal??
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Alcohol can increase your heart rate even if taken in small amount.
At times it can also lead to disturbance in beating of heart known as arrhythmia.
Alcohol can cause arrhythmia in people with normal hearts also.
Occasional pulse missing or felling extra, does not warrant any action at present.
You should be fine in couple of hours.
In case it dose not settle by then or its intensity and frequency increases, please visit your doctor.
I hope this helps.
