Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I'm Dr. Kumar, thanks for using 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I've read the details given by you.
Most likely cause of your problem is Hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in the lowest part of your rectum and anus. Sometimes the walls of these blood vessels stretch so thin and may be felt pulpy or swollen.
Initially go for digital and proctoscopic examination by a general surgeon and see what he says.
Hope I provided you with the information you wanted.
In case you need further advice feel free to ask.
Regards

Growth inside anus, resembles orange pulp. No recent sexual contact, and no history of anal sex. Worried about possible fungus or cancerous growth. There is itching, the growth was small and was able to be pulled off with almost no effort.

                                    Brief Answer:
Could be fungal or verucous
Detailed Answer:
Hello again my dear,
Have seen the photograph attached by you dear patient. Its not hemorrhoid that's clear from picture. Your doctor would take a small sample of the tissue which would be studied under a microscope to find out if this growth is benign or malignant in nature. But as itching is there could be a possible overlapped fungal infection also.
But as abnormal growth is there a sample would be taken from the growth to study the exact pathology.
Apply any anti fungal cream and take an antihistaminic for relief in itching.
Follow up with reports.
Hope i was helpful.
Thanks
