Brief Answer:
Probably shingles, a photo and more information are needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would like to see a photo to help me better with the diagnosis.

There are several medical conditions that can cause the rash on the chest.

The symptoms seem to be related to shingles.

Some other information that can help are:

-Have you done the shingles vaccine?

-Does the rash have blisters?

-Is the rash itching?

-Does it has dry skin over the area?

Waiting for your response to help you better with the treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further
