Question : MY WIDAL TEST RESULTS SHOW ; O-1:40 , H-1:80 , AH-1:80, BH-1:80 WHAT IS THE RESULT, WHETHER IT TESTS POSITIVE FOR TYPHOID OR JUST AN INFECTION.
Brief Answer:
it is not active typhoid infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I have read your query with the test report.
Your test is not positive for Typhoid neither does it suggest active infection by typhoid bacilli.
The titers are too low at 1:40 and 1: 80.
You may consider taking a 5 days presumptive treatment with ciprofloxacin twice daily as an empirical treatment.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
it is not active typhoid infection
