Detailed answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.Ratnakar Kini and I am pleased to assist you.

Hep C over a period of time damages liver and causes liver dysfunction and liver cirrhosis and sometimes even liver cancer.
Lipitor again can affect the liver function.
You have mentioned that liver panel has not been done.

I would advise you to get liver panel done first.
If it shows abnormal results, then he can consider stopping Lipitor. If it shows normal results, he can continue taking Lipitor.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.Ratnakar Kini
