Had Depo Shot To Reduce Severe PMS. Having Continuous Bleeding. Suggest?

Question : Hello :-) I have my first depo shot a few days ago to attempt to lessem my severe PMS. I took the shot on the second pay of my period. My period should end tomorrow but there is no sign of the bleeding stopping. I am going on holiday with my husband in mid-November and just can't be bleeding until then. Anything I can do to stop the bleeding? I am 40 in a few months, smoker.

Thanks for your query.
The depo would take a few days or a maybe a week to start working.
I am sure that you would definitely stop bleeding by mid - November, as it is still more than a month away.
In case you want to be safe, then for the planned dates of the vacation, you can start taking progesterone tablets ( Meprate for eg ) twice a day starting a couple of days before the holiday, and then stop taking it when you want your period.
You would have a withdrawal bleed within a week of stopping the tablets.
